Anyway, here I am again, posting a few pictures on a very nice culinary initiative called ‘Europa Street Food Festival’ which took place in Pesaro over the last week-end. I don’t know about you but I am fond of street food; this is why Where Lemons Blossom attended the Festival on Friday and Saturday night. I owe this post’s pictures to Walter, our Food & Wine guy at WLB, besides owing him a few (good) hints about what to eat there. I don’t know how many trucks were lined up along the coast right by the beach (neither do I know about how many countries were represented), I just know that the overall picture was beautiful: colorful and fancy food trucks in front of the silver Adriatic sea melting with the silver sky. And inviting food fragrances all around.

Walter loved his Greek pita gyros andbombette from Martina Franca (Apulia) – being bombette (‘little bombs’ – I guess the name hints at their high calorie load!) well-seasoned grilled pork neck slices wrapped around a piece of fresh cheese.

I loved olive all’ascolana (a Marche traditional food from the southern Ascoli Piceno area): they are among the best-known Italian stuffed olives (large green olives usually stuffed with several types of meat: veal or beef, pork, and chicken, sauteed with a soffritto, tewed in white wine, ground, and mixed with grated parmigiano reggiano cheese and a touch of nutmeg).

Show-cooking sessions and talks with food-bloggers took place at the Festival. Even though they were interesting, we preferred falling into temptation and walk along the sea-side holding our paper cones and listening to the performing bands!
